Bike-a-Thon – June 10

The Bike-a-Thon is an annual fundraising event for Cycles for Change. It will be held this year on Saturday, June 10 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Parque Castillo in the West Side neighborhood of St. Paul.

C4C shops and retail will be closed on Saturday, June 10 for the Bike-a-Thon so that all staff and youth apprentices can attend the event.

There will be an 8-mile route and a 20-mile route to choose from. You will be able to ride at your own pace and there will be many others riding along with you. This ride is a great way to meet other people who love bicycling, while raising money for a bicycle advocacy and education organization. C4C will be partnering with West Side Community Organization (WSCO) to engage West Side residents in this event, but we want anyone and everyone to come ride and fundraise with us!

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000! You can register to just ride, or you can also create a fundraising team. Get a group of friends together and see who can raise the most money to further bicycle education and advocacy in St. Paul and Minneapolis! If you can’t fundraise, no worries! We’d love to have you ride with us either way!

Getting to the park:
Parque Castillo is easy to get to via a combo of the Green Line and your bike! If you are traveling from Minneapolis or St. Paul west of downtown, you can take the Green Line to Central Station and bike 1.4 miles across the Wabasha bridge and down Wabasha Street all the way to the park. You’ll arrive all warmed up for your 8- or 20-mile ride!

If you drive to the event, there is street parking on Cesar Chavez St and Robie St, as well as parking in the clinic parking lot adjacent to the park. Bathrooms will be available for use at The Wellstone Center behind the park.
