Effective 4/3/17, Cycles for Change’s Volunteer Night will be closed. Thank you.

We are no longer offering drop-in volunteer nights. There will be opportunities to volunteer at both shops as well as with programs and events. Volunteers will be able to sign up for shifts in advance. We will be offering a required orientation for shop and event volunteers, starting in May. Check back with us for more details in April.

Cycles for Change invites our volunteers to join in making Cycles for Change the amazing organization it is. Cycles for Change is your organization, for you and by you. There is a dedicated staff working to keep the programs running and C4C open, but it is the volunteers that really make C4C what it is. It’s our users and volunteers, which create the sense of community.

There are lots of ways to get involved!

Cycles for Change’s volunteer opportunities engage members of our community to support our work.

  • Are you interested in learning about bicycles?
  • Do you want to help your community?
  • Do you want to meet some awesome people?
  • Do you want to do something that matters?

Volunteer Night

Effective 4/3/17, Cycles for Change’s Volunteer Night will be closed. Thank you.

Come to connect and help out around our shops during Volunteer Night. This is the easiest way to get involved in Cycles for Change. Just stop by–no reservation necessary. Volunteer Night serves as a great opportunity for volunteers who wish to gain a better bicycle knowledge get involved. The dedicated staff at Cycles for Change are able to devote their attention to teaching in a nurturing environment.

Mondays 4-8pm in St Paul
Thursdays 4-8pm in Minneapolis

Come when you are able, stay for as long as you want. Some people volunteer for 1 hour, others for 4 hours.

What will you be doing? Volunteers help us sort, organize, and fix things up around the shop in order to support our retail and open shop programs. Tasks are varied: one day you might be patching tubes, another you might be stripping down a bicycle for recycling, or maybe truing and overhauling a wheel. As volunteers develop their skills as mechanics, they help us fix bicycles for sale and for programs.

No experience is necessary for Volunteer Night – just come ready to learn and get your hands dirty!

Please email [email protected] with specific questions.

Thank you to all of our volunteers!
